Mars Incorporated has announced an exciting partnership with Tripadvisor, aiming to revolutionize travel experiences for pet parents.
In collaboration with the CESAR® Canine Cuisine initiative, Mars is hoping to create a more dog-friendly world by introducing a Pet Travel Hub to connect pet owners with local adventures and support businesses in becoming pet-friendly. With 33 percent of pet parents altering their travel plans due to pet-related concerns, this initiative aims to make the world a little bigger for your fur-babies (sorry, I hate that word too)!

Introducing the Pet Travel Hub
The new Pet Travel Hub will be available on Tripadvisor’s platform, offering a one-stop resource for pet-friendly travel. It will feature city guides developed in partnership with CESAR®, highlighting pet-friendly attractions in cities like Miami, Austin, and Nashville. An enhanced AI Trip Builder will help users create personalized, pet-friendly itineraries, ensuring seamless travel experiences for pet owners and their furry companions.
Celebrating pet-friendly accommodations
In conjunction with this partnership, Tripadvisor has launched the Pet-Friendly Hotel Travelers’ Choice Awards category for 2024. Hotel Fioreze Quero Quero in Brazil has been named the world’s most pet-friendly hotel, while the Hyatt Centric Las Olas Fort Lauderdale in Florida leads in the US. These awards underscore the growing demand for pet-friendly accommodations and recognize establishments that excel in welcoming pets.
Bridging the pet-friendly gap
Despite 73 percent of US Tripadvisor users owning pets, less than 1 percent of US restaurants on the platform are listed as pet-friendly. This partnership aims to bridge this gap, encouraging more businesses to recognize the cultural, well-being, and financial benefits of becoming pet-friendly.
